SEVENDUST Cancel FREAKER'S BALL Appearance
October 23, 2005SEVENDUST were reportedly forced to cancel their appearance at last night's (Oct. 22) annual "Freaker's Ball" in Kansas City, Missouri. According to one attendee, SEVENDUST called off the show "at the last minute due to 'technical difficuties.' Supposedly, they were having problems with their equipment. It was announced to the crowd that SLIPKNOT would still play, but still took a long time to set up. After SLIPKNOT went on, Corey [Taylor, vocals] told the crowd, 'You may hear rumors about what went on tonight....but there was NO WAY SLIPKNOT was going to cancel the show!' Don't know what the backstage circumstances were, but likely there is more story to tell."
"Freaker's Ball" was sponsored by local radio station 98.9 The Rock and featured additional appearances by AS I LAY DYING, UNEARTH, FEDERATION OF HORSEPOWER and THE LEO PROJECT.
